Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts has offered its services to the arts community for nearly 30 years. While I became the WALA board president in 2008, I have a career-long affiliation with WALA. In fact, I worked for WALA for my first internship in law school. My experience is not unique. Many of our volunteers and supporters have a long and strong connection to our organization and we are passionate the work that we do in our community. I am truly fortunate to be part of this tremendously dedicated and generous community of artists and lawyers and I am proud to be a part of it.
